Research Project:
Analysis of large-scale DNA sequencing data to identify genes associated to autism spectrum disorder.
We generated 30X whole-genome sequence (WGS) for >4,000 individuals from the family-based Autism Genetic Resource Exchange (AGRE) cohort, as part of the Hartwell Autism Research and Technology Initiative (iHART). Given that the majority of participating families have multiple affected individuals, our research is mainly focused on exploring the role of inherited risk loci. The iHART project seeks to advance the understanding of autism genetics and represents a landmark for the study of other complex diseases and investigations using whole-genome sequence data.
