About This Service

The David Geffen School of Medicine IT (DGIT) provides faculty members free access to create supported laboratory websites. Users can choose from four starting themes at no cost. Additional development can be ordered at below market rates.

To request a site, complete the short questionnaire. Once this form is submitted, the requestor will be contacted within two business days to confirm requirements and finalize the site setup.

About the sites

All the technical aspects of hosting and servicing the sites are handled by DGIT, so faculty can focus on developing content highlighting lab activities and achievements.

Once a site is live, full access is granted to the faculty member and to any of her or his designees to manage the content. DGIT ensures the content is secure, and protected from accidental deletion or loss.

How were the site themes developed?

We developed four themes (design templates) that align with the style guides of DGSOM and UCLA. Our goal is to provide a standards-based, secure, attractive way to present lab sites at no cost to faculty or departments.

Can I customize?

Standard features include the ability to upload and update content at will.  If the starting site and additional features do not meet all your needs, customization is available at below-market rates.
