Research Project:
Tau-associated neurodegenerative diseases (collectively named tauopathy), including Alzheimer’s disease (AD), progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP), and frontotemporal degeneration (FTD), impact millions of Americans and produce a significant medical and socioeconomic burden. My research focuses on developing small molecule therapies that ultimately degrade tau to treat neurodegenerative diseases and investigating the mechanism of action engaged by these compounds.
